Totally unexpected move by Nintendo and Monolith Soft. As confirmed, the acclaimed JRPG has received the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 update 3.0.0. This is a surprise software adjustment for a title whose content cycle seemed completely closed for years.
Version 3.0.0 details and continued support
This new version focuses on applying minor technical corrections and improvements to the general stability of the system, guaranteeing optimal performance of Rex and Pyra’s adventure in the console catalog. Although the update does not introduce new missions or additional Blades, the arrival of such a significant numerical version jump for a veteran title has reignited the community’s interest in the franchise.
It must be remembered that the original game became one of the pillars of the initial catalog of the hybrid platform, marking a milestone for fans of the Japanese role-playing game since we published our analysis of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in its original launch.
These changes leave the ground established for the imminent arrival of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, whose official launch is confirmed for next July 30. Monolith Soft thus ensures an impeccable technical transition for the generational leap in delivery.
