Step.- A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with credit score/debit card abuse after utilizing a stolen debit card at a Whataburger early Monday morning, March 11, in accordance with the Horizon Metropolis Police Division ( HCPD).
HCPD says that at 2:51 a.m. on Monday, March 11, officers responded to the Whataburger positioned at 13910 Horizon Boulevard relating to fraudulent use of a debit card.
Officers have been knowledgeable by the sufferer that she had acquired a notification from her financial institution indicating that her card had been used at a Whataburger, in accordance with HCPD.
HCPD says the sufferer instructed officers he later found his pockets had been stolen from his automobile in a single day and didn’t know who it might need been.
Officers performed their investigation and, with the assistance of Whataburger staff, recognized 17-year-old Elijah Rivers and his automobile on the restaurant and utilizing the cardboard to pay.
Rivers was discovered at his house together with the automobile described by witnesses. He was arrested with out additional incident.
Rivers was transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility by HCPD and granted a $2,000 private recognizance bond.
