Prepare for your first remote trade, you will be asked to use a special remote trade tag to mark the Pokémon you want to trade with your Unbreakable Friendship. When you reach the level of Unbreakable Friendship with someone, you will be able to see the Pokémon that the other person has marked with the remote trading tag. These are the Pokémon you want to trade.
To initiate a remote trade, each Trainer, in turn, selects up to three of the tagged Pokémon they would like to receive. These “wish lists” are sent to the other Trainer. Each Trainer selects one of the requested Pokémon to offer to the other Trainer. Both Coaches review the final offer and have the opportunity to confirm or cancel. Throughout the remote exchange process, Coaches have the option to reject the current request and start the process again.
If you share a Lucky Friendship, your next trade will hopefully be… even if it’s remote!* And remote trades don’t count as special trades, regardless of which Pokémon were traded remotely.
The following Pokémon cannot be included in a remote trade:
- Pokémon caught in the last 30 days
- Previously Traded Pokémon
- dark pokemon
- unique Pokémon
- Pokémon that are defending Gyms or energy nodes
- Your current companion Pokémon
- Actively Mega Evolved Pokémon
- fused pokemon
- Zacian Supreme Sword and Zamazenta Supreme Shield
- Pokémon placed in Pokémon Playgrounds
