‘The Last of Us’ has just been left without one of its protagonists, since it has been confirmed that the actor Danny Ramirez will not return in season 3 of the HBO series. This means that they will have to look for a replacement, since Manny Alvarez’s character will appear in the next batch of episodes of this adaptation of the famous video game.
Ramirez first appeared on the series in the second season as an ally of Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) in his insatiable quest for revenge against Joel (Peter Pascal). Manny’s return was assured, but now he will do so with the face of another actor.
Agenda problems
From Deadline they clarify that everything is due to scheduling problemsso other commitments have made it impossible for Ramírez to participate in the third installment of the series. What is not exactly known is what other project is responsible, as it could well be a Marvel film, since he was the actor in charge of giving life to Falcon in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’.

Ramírez’s loss thus adds to another very important one that ‘The Last of Us’ suffered a few months ago, since in July it was announced that Neil Druckmanncreator of the original video game, leaves his position as co-showrunner and will not direct any episode of season 3. Therefore, all responsibility for the series then remained in the hands of Craig Mazin.
Filming of the new episodes will begin this coming Aprilso they will have a fairly wide margin of time to find a replacement for Danny Ramírez.
