The most clever magical girl franchise in anime celebrates two decades of history with a big announcement. Through its official accounts, it was confirmed that the new commemorative project, titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeanceis scheduled to premiere next month July.

This project marks the return of the series to television as part of the celebrations for its 20th anniversary. The study Seven Arcs will once again be in charge of the animation, maintaining the visual continuity that has defined the saga in its latest film installments.

To ensure the fidelity of the work, the creator of the franchise, Masaki Tsuzukiis credited as the author of the original story and main screenwriter. The direction falls again to Takayuki Hamanawho already directed the films Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection and Detonation. The character design and chief animation direction are in the hands of Issei Aragakibased on the original designs of Shuichi Kawakami.

Connections with the manga

This production is linked to the manga Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDSwhich began to be published on the service Suiyōbi no Sirius of Kodansha in April 2025. The story features a Nanoha Takamachi 13 years old, who continues to work energetically as a magician to help others. Tsuzuki himself writes the concept for this printed version, while Kawakami is in charge of the art.
