Console players are falling in love with an unexpected proposal
A new free title available on PS5 It is giving a lot to talk about among Sony console players. It is an exclusive proposal at the console level, which means that, although it can also be played on PC and mobile devices, it is not available on Xbox or Nintendo Switch, an increasingly common practice in today’s industry.
The most striking thing is that this release is free-to-play and is also natively compatible with PS5 Pro, something rare even among many exclusive PlayStation titles. In fact, it arrived optimized from day one for Sony’s most powerful console. The game in question is Arknights: Endfielddeveloped by Mountain Contour and Hypergryph, and can now be downloaded for free from the PlayStation Store.
After several weeks available, players have had enough time to test it and the opinions are not long in coming. Currently, the game has an average rating of 4.03 out of 5 stars on PlayStation Storebased on more than 12,000 user reviews.
This is the new free PS5 proposal
Arknights: Endfield is presented as a free-to-play action RPG with strategic elementsand works as a spin-off of the original Arknights, a popular tower defense game released in 2019 by Hypergryph. Although it shares a universe, this new installment relies on completely different gameplay and approach.
The story takes place on Talos-II, a moon colonized and exploited by large corporations. Players take on the role of the Endministrator, leader of the Endfield Industries corporation, who wakes up one day with no memories and finds himself dragged into an investigation to unravel the secrets surrounding this dangerous world.
As with many large-scale free-to-play titles, the game offers a huge amount of content. Completing the main story can take around 50 hourswhile more completionist players may need up to 200 hours to see everything. Furthermore, if you don’t want to resort to microtransactions, you also have to take into account grinding, something that seems to be catching on among players.
