Singer Rihanna’s home in Beverly Hills, California, was the target of gunfire, police reported this Sunday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired at 1:15 p.m. local time (9:15 p.m. GMT). A female suspect was located and detained.
A police officer told CBS News, a partner of the BBC in the United States, that the house attacked belonged to the pop star and that assault rifle casings were found at the scene.
No one was injured in the incident. Rihanna was in the mansion at the time, a police source told the newspaper. Los Angeles Times.
Police say the suspect, a woman in her 30s, pulled up in a car in front of the home and fired seven shots before speeding away.
Her vehicle was located about 12 km from the singer’s home by the police, who placed her under arrest. His identity has not yet been revealed.

Last September, Rihanna gave birth to her third daughter, the result of her relationship with rapper A$AP Rocky.
The couple, who also have two children, Riot and RZA, announced the singer’s latest pregnancy at last year’s Met Gala.
The new baby news wasn’t the first to make headlines in 2025. In February, A$AP Rocky was found not guilty of shooting a gun at a former friend, in a trial where Rihanna brought her two children to court.
The famous singer, born in Barbados and whose real name is Robyn Fenty, rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits such as Pon de Replay and Umbrella. He recently celebrated 20 years since the release of his first album.
During that time, the singer has launched multiple businesses, including her popular makeup line Fenty Beauty and a lingerie company.
The magazine Forbes has estimated that the 37-year-old singer’s net worth exceeds $1 billion.
The BBC has contacted Rihanna’s representatives for comment on Sunday’s incident.
