The renewed Nissan Kicks was chosen SUV of the Year 2026 by the Inter-American Federation of Automobile Journalists (FIPA), an award defined by the vote of specialized journalists from the automotive industry of the entire region.
The announcement was made during the 22nd edition of the awards and the 18th election of the SUV and Truck of the Year, a continental-scope distinction defined by the direct vote of 86 professional journalists from 21 countriesin a single round of evaluation based on the model’s expectation for the 2026 cycle.
A Nissan Kicks that grows and changes segments
The new generation of the SUV nissan arrives in Argentina with a profound transformation. Originally presented in 2014 at the San Pablo Hall and marketed in the country since 2017, the Kicks accumulates more than 730,000 units sold in Latin Americaconsolidating itself as one of the regional pillars of the brand.
Now the model grows in size and aims for a higher step: measure 4365mm long (+55mm), 1800mm wide (+40mm) and 1625mm high (+13 mm), with a 2655mm wheelbase (+35mm).
The trunk also expands to 470 literssome 38 more liters than his previous generation. With this jump, Kicks seeks to position itself in the segment Cwhile the next Kait will take the place of B to replace Kicks Play.
More robust design and technological cabin
The exterior adopts a stronger aestheticwith a grille of horizontal lines that visually widens the front and sharper headlights that provide modernity. At the back, the floating roof and a more square silhouette stand out.
Inside, the cabin gains space and technology: it incorporates 24 inch combo screens with wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Autovoice recognition, 15W wireless charger and four USB-C ports.
Turbo engine and benchmark safety
The mechanics are also renewed. The Kicks equips a 1.0 turbo three-cylinder engine with direct injection, which delivers 120 HP and 200 Nm of torqueassociated with a dual clutch DCT gearbox. Addition electric handbrake and steering wheel paddles.
In security, obtained five stars in the Latin NCAP teststhe highest possible rating.
