The elimination of the Mexican National Team in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup was painful for all the tricolor fans, but that night Javier Aguirre left a funny moment that was immortalized on social networks, after insulting the English footballer Anthony Gordon in the middle of the game.
In all parts of the world, the video of Aguirre insulting the England attacker was taken with humor and they laughed at the childish attitude of the Mexican coach. So much so that the Basque received a international award for that fun moment.

The recognition was presented by the famous English driver James Cordenwho could not control his laughter when remembering the “Fuck you, Gordon.” of the Mexican coach.
However, Aguirre offered another comedic moment. As the winner of the award, he sent a video to the organizers and in addition to sending a message to the Mexican fans, where he proudly mentioned having directed the World Cup, he once again insulted an Englishman.
“Hello, I’m Javier Aguirre. Thank you for this award. It was an honor to be the coach of the Mexican National Team in this last World Cup. Thank you to the fans who have supported me over the years. Long live Mexico! and Fuck you, James“, he mentioned.
