With the concert of Maroon 5 As an inaugural act, the Guadalajara sand opened its doors and the governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemushe did not hide his enthusiasm for what he considers a watershed for the cultural life and shows of the city.
“Very happy to have an offer, because Guadalajara has become the capital of the shows. People, instead of going to a concert to Mexico City, which is very difficult to move there, she prefers to come to Guadalajara,” said the president minutes before entering the enclosure.
The new sand has even capacity to 20 thousand peoplewhich, according to Lemus, comes to cover a vacuum in the cultural and entertainment infrastructure of the metropolis.
“From the Telmex Auditorium we went to the Santander team or the Diana Theater, which received around two thousand people, and then we already jumped to the stadium 3 March. We did not have an intermediate forum. Today we have the Guadalajara Arena with 8 thousand spectators in this event, but with the possibility of 20 thousand,” he explained.
For the governor, the enclosure not only responds to a local need, but also places the city at an international level of competition.
“I have had the opportunity to go to many arenas worldwide, and the Guadalajara sand is at the level of what I have met in London, in New York, in Los Angeles. Moreover, it is better than the Los Angeles arena,” he said.
Lemus declared himself an enthusiastic to witness the presentation of the American band. “I am looking forward to seeing Maroon 5, it is also a band that I love. We come to listen to this great band. I am very happy for Guadalajara, very happy for Jalisco and for the people who love music,” he said.
Beyond the symbolic, the governor said that the Guadalajara sand represents a consolidation of the city as an entertainment epicenter in Mexico. “For me, the offer of enclosures for shows comes to perfectly complement, not only in Guadalajara, but in all Jalisco,” he said.
The new enclosure, he said, will be key to international events, mass concerts and cultural activities that will attract tourism and economic spill. “We continue to consolidate as that entertainment capital,” he said.
