Among the thousands of attendees who filled the Pascual Guerrero stadium during the first night of this concert, is Tom, a fan who traveled directly from Japan to fulfill his dream of seeing her sing live.

The foreign visitor landed in Cali just two hours before the show and, without wasting time, headed to the stage to join the audience that was eagerly awaiting the singer’s return to the capital of Valle del Cauca.

“I came here just to enjoy the concert,” he commented excitedly, and assured that among his favorite songs, the one that stands out is “I am Here.”

Tom expressed a message to the artist in Japanese, in which he expressed his admiration and joy at being able to attend the concert. “I am very excited and I hope to enjoy the show that Shakira brings”one of the El País journalists translated.

His story joins those of other national and international visitors who came to Cali to witness the show, which brought together thousands of fans and demonstrated, once again, the global reach of the Colombian star.

It is worth remembering that the artist did not perform in the capital of Valle del Cauca 19 years ago, so this show is quite acclaimed by her fans, who in addition to hearing her voice, will also witness the Grupo Niche, which will be in charge of opening for Shakira.

The magnitude of this concert is such that nearly 77,000 will attend this meeting, a figure made up of local people and visitors.

Likewise, records reveal that the artist’s arrival in Cali generates a profit of more thane 21 million dollars ($80 billion).
