Antonio Mohamed and the Red Devils of Toluca live a love story It doesn’t seem like it’s going to end anytime soon. The famous ‘Turk’ was once again crowned champion of Mexican soccer and gave both the eleventh and twelfth stars to the Mexican team. Although he has won five titles in his time as a choricero strategist, there is one tournament that the Argentine has not yet won and has his sights set on next year: the Concacaf Champions League.

In an exclusive interview with journalist David Medrano from TV Azteca Deportes, Mohamed was blunt about what he wants in the future as a chorizo strategist: ”Totally happy, everything went as planned. So very happy, well they have hierarchy, they have replacement, they have a great replacement. So good, but I think we are fair winners. First the board, this starts from the head, then the great team we have, nothing is done calmly and we were able to do our thing. Let’s go for the Concachampions.” said the Argentine technical director.
A trophy that has not been able to lift
Mohamed’s record in Mexican football is at the level of few strategists in Mexican football; five leagues of the Liga MX (Xolos de Tijuana, Rayados de Monterrey, Club América and two with the Diablos Rojos del Toluca), two MX Cups and a Champion of Champions shine in the showcases of the South American strategist.
Now as the current monarch of Mexican soccer, Mohamed and his pupils are in the Concacaf Champions League as one of the great candidates to win the international title and qualify for the 2025 Inter-American Cup.
