For the first time in ten years, Mexico will once again be crowned champion of the Caribbean Series, after the two national representatives, Charros de Jalisco and Tomateros de Culiacán, advanced this Friday to the final of the contest, which takes place at the Pan American baseball stadium in Guadalajara.
In the second semifinal, the Charros of Jalisco (identified as México Rojo) defeated the Cangrejeros de Santurce of Puerto Rico 8-6.
While in the first semifinal, the Tomateros de Culiacán (México Verde), defeated the Leones del Esído 9-4, representatives of the Dominican Republic and who finished as leaders of the first round of the Series.
The last time Mexico was champion of the contest was when the Venados de Mazatlán were crowned in 2016.
Charros and Tomateros will reissue the final of the Mexican Pacific League in which the Charros won 4-0 without problem.
