Apple just presented iOS 27 at the WWDC 2026 event. This new operating system for iPhone will come with optimizations in the appearance of the interface as well as a more intelligent Siri.
iOS 27 will reach the public in September, days after it presents its new iPhone line. “The new software features will be available this fall as a free software update,” Apple detailed. Of course, public and developer tests have different releases.

When will iOS 27 be available
iOS 27 will be available to the general public in September 2026, along with the release cycle of the new iPhones. Apple has not yet confirmed an exact day, but that is the month in which it usually releases the final version.
Keep these dates in mind:
- Developer Beta: June 8, 2026.
- Public beta: July 2026.
- Final version (stable): September 2026.
Tests (betas) are versions that may contain errors and instabilities, so they are not recommended for users who are not familiar with this type of software. For most users, it is best to wait for the final version, scheduled for September 2026.

There are two ways, both free:
Developer beta (available from June 8)
- Open Safari on your iPhone and go to developer.apple.com
- Tap Account and sign in with your Apple ID
- Accept the Apple Developer Agreement.
- Restart iPhone
- Go to Settings, General, Software Update, Beta Updates.
- Select iOS 27 Developer Beta and tap Download and Install
Public beta (available from July 2026, more stable)
- Open Safari and go to beta.apple.com.
- Sign in with your Apple ID and accept the terms.
- Go to Settings, General, Software Update, Beta Updates.
- Select iOS 27 Public Beta when available and tap Download and install.
Before installing any beta, make a backup. Keep in mind that betas are versions that may contain errors and instabilities, so they are not recommended for users who are not familiar with this type of software.
For most, it is best to wait for the final version, scheduled for September 2026.

It is key to consider that not all models access the same functions:
- Apple Intelligence: requires iPhone 15 Pro or later
- Siri with advanced AI: requires iPhone 17 Pro or later
- Users in the European Union: Siri with AI will not be available at launch due to regulatory restrictions

The big news in iOS 27 is Siri AI: a completely redesigned assistant with its own app, capable of accessing messages, photos and emails to complete tasks with personal context. Third-party chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini are also integrated.
Apps open up to 30% faster and AirDrop transfers up to 80% faster. Photos incorporates AI editing, Safari automatically organizes tabs, and Wallet allows you to create digital passes from physical tickets. Parental controls have been completely redesigned. The final version arrives in September 2026.
