The capsule includes sneakers, clothing and a customization experience that allows users to create their own pair with elements inspired by the universe of Dragon Ball Z. The launch is part of Converse’s strategy to strengthen its presence within pop culture through collaborations with global franchises, a formula that the brand has developed in recent years together with entertainment properties, video games and comics.
What are the Converse x Dragon Ball Z sneakers like?
The collection is headed by seven designs that reinterpret the classics Chuck Taylor All Star and Chuck 70 through direct references to the Dragon Ball Z universe. Each model adopts the visual identity of a different character, from the color combination to small graphic details distributed on the tongue, heel, side patch and sole.
One of the main launches is the Chuck Taylor All Star Gokuwhich uses the traditional orange color of the protagonist’s uniform along with blue-inspired finishes on his belt and wristbands. Additionally, the Dragon Ball Z logo appears on the back of the shoe, while other graphics reference the character without altering the classic Converse silhouette.
