The company Comsa Infraestructuras SA de CV, one of those responsible for rehabilitating the section in which the accident occurred derailment of the Interoceanic Train, in Oaxaca – where 13 people lost their lives and another 98 were injured – has been contracted since 2022 for works in the Lines 1 and 9 of the Mexico City Metro and Light Rail.

Comsa Infraestructuras is the Mexican subsidiary of the Spanish conglomerate Comsa Infrastructure Corporation dedicated to engineering, owned by infrastructure magnate Jorge Miarnau. With experience in the railway sector, he also directed works in other places such as Portugal.

Comsa, on the Interoceanic Train

In November 2022, Comsa Infrastructures together with Grupo Constructor Diamante SA de CV won a contract for 355.4 million pesos more taxes for the rehabilitation of the section 3.3 of the Tehuantepec Isthmus Railway (FIT)between the towns of Mogoñé and La Mata.
