According to a leak discovered by the well-known dataminer Yakumono (Luigi Blood)the applications of Nintendo Classics for NES, SNES and Game Boy included in Nintendo Switch Online have received a major internal update that has not yet been officially deployed. References have been found in the code of this version to a system of challengesseemingly similar to that seen in the NES Remix series, where players would have to complete specific objectives within classic games.

After that initial rumor, there are now images shared by Spectralstar69, and it seems that these future challenges that will reach the classic applications of Nintendo Switch Online with specific challenges inspired by different games donkey kong from NES, Super Nintendo and Game Boy. These challenge cards appear to pose specific objectives within the games, similar to what was seen in the NES Remix series, and fans believe this feature could be revealed at today’s Nintendo Direct.
