The Marvel machinery starts up again and, this time, it does so by dropping a snapshot that seems small… but it is not. The first promotional image of all the characters of
Avengers: Doomsday It is already circulating and, if you are one of those who enjoys enlarging every detail as if it were a frozen frame, there is fuel here for a while.
The curious thing is that this glimpse does not come from a trailer or a large streaming presentation, but from something much more earthly: merchandising shown at a recent event at Pinewood Studios in London. Yes, t-shirts, illustrations and promotional material that, inadvertently, have ended up revealing more than many expected about Avengers: Doomsday.
An image of Avengers: Doomsday that it shouldn’t make so much noise (but it does)
First promotional image of all the characters from Avengers: Doomsday

The illustration that is doing the rounds is not entirely new. These portraits had already been used as an internal gift for the film’s costume team, an almost family detail that has now made the leap to something much more visible: a comic book cover with the scent of a big event. And of course, once that comes to light, there is no going back.
In the corner of that cover appears something that also says a lot about the tone of the project: the names of the Russo brothers and the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, as if we were facing a cover letter very aware of its own weight. It is not just any image, it is almost a declaration of intentions.
The best thing is that art is not limited to the usual suspects. Here is a parade that mixes generations, teams and universes that until recently seemed to go their own way. And that, in Avengers: Doomsday, sounds like controlled chaos… the good kind.
Doctor Doom, mutants and old acquaintances on the same plane
One of the details that is generating the most comments is the appearance of Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. Yes, we keep talking about it because it is impossible not to. His mask is much more intimidating than many imagined, with a design very faithful to the comic and less “clean” than expected. It gives a bad vibe, and that’s a compliment.
Doctor Doom
Along with him, the promotional art reveals characters like Beast and Nightcrawler with an instantly recognizable aesthetic. Magneto’s red and purple helmet looks straight out of a classic cartoon, and the presence of young Franklin Richards opens the door to theories that we better let rest for a while. Don’t you think this already suggests great things?
There is also space for classic and latest equipment. The Avengers, the New Avengers and even Loki are represented, as if the film wanted to remember that everyone fits here… as long as the story asks for it.
Between the epic and the hooligan
The funny thing is that not all merchandising maintains that dark and solemn tone. Some pieces play with lighter and almost comical versions of certain characters. There are those who already joke with a hypothetical “DJ Doom”, although everything indicates that this will remain a nice anecdote. Still, it shows that the team has had a good time creating this universe.
That contrast between real threat and casual wink fits quite well with what many expect from Avengers: Doomsday: a huge film, aware of its legacy, but not afraid to laugh a little at itself when it comes to it. And that, to be honest, is appreciated.
A cast that seems like a convention on its own
If the image already impresses, the official list of performers finishes off the play. The film features Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd and Robert Downey Jr. himself. With that alone you already have half the history of the MCU gathered in a single sentence.
They are joined by new names making their debut in the Avengers saga, such as Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Mabel Cadena, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman and India Rose Hemsworth. A powerful mix that sounds like a generational change without losing the veterans.
The crossover becomes even more interesting when the Fantastic Four come into play, with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn, linking directly to the Fantastic Four. And yes, there are also mutants: Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn and James Marsden, as well as Channing Tatum after his time in Deadpool & Wolverine. Can you imagine that film set?
Trailers, Super Bowl and the countdown
Marvel isn’t just throwing these pieces out at random. Four teasers for Avengers: Doomsday were already published last month, coinciding with the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. It was a strategic move to keep the name on everyone’s lips without showing too much.
Avengers: Doomsday (2026)
Everything indicates that the full trailer will arrive during the next edition of the Super Bowl, a perfect showcase for a project of this caliber. If that is confirmed, what we have seen so far will only be the appetizer, and Doom will have much more to say in motion.
The Russo Brothers repeat the direction, with a script by Stephen McFeely and the support of Michael Waldron. Come on, a team that already knows what it’s like to handle giant events without everything getting out of hand… too much.
Release date and what comes next
The quote is marked in red: Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18. And be careful, because she doesn’t come alone. Avengers: Secret Wars already has a date for December 17, 2027which makes it clear that we are facing a story designed in a big way, with long-term consequences.
All MCU installments are available on Disney Plus.
