Mexico City. The airline Volaris will offer 35 new routes starting next June, which will have 244 in total, it reported in a statement.
“These new routes reinforce connectivity within the framework of the 2026 Soccer World Cup, and facilitate access to cities with high tourist, cultural and business potential in Mexico and the United States,” he highlighted.
Volaris will strengthen its presence in its hubs in Guadalajara and Tijuana, and offer greater connectivity to and from key cities such as Puebla, Querétaro, Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosí, significantly expanding travel options for the Central and El Bajío regions.
“Eleven of the new routes expand connectivity with cities in the United States, including Houston, Los Angeles, New York (Newark), Dallas-Fort-Worth, Denver, Orlando, San Antonio, Chicago, Detroit and Salt Lake City,” he said.
He mentioned that Volaris has functioned as a strategic ally to strengthen air connectivity and that it has been key to better connecting Mexico with multiple tourist destinations and with the United States.
According to the statement, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Volaris has been an ally to advance towards the goal of Plan México to position Mexico as the fifth most visited country in the world.
Introductory fares for these new routes will be available from 150 pesos on domestic flights and from $84 on international flights.
“In an environment of significant challenges in the industry worldwide, Volaris continues with its efforts to strengthen connectivity, promote tourism and democratize the skies,” the company highlighted.
