DOES THE “DEMON SLAYER” FRANCHISE HAVE THE SAME RATING ON ALL PLATFORMS?
The short answer is NOsince the platforms use different criteria to rate the same title.
Hulufor example, lists the first season of “Demon Slayer” as TV-14while Roku the brand directly as TV-MA (minimum age: 17-18 years).
Netflixfor its part, has an even more detailed handling: each season receives its own rating, with the first installment marked as TV-14 for horror, gore, violence and language. And finally, the general anime restriction goes up to TV-MA for specific scenes of nudity.
WHAT WAS THE AGE RATING OF THE PREVIOUS “DEMON SLAYER” FILMS?
Both the movie “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” and the special “Swordsmith Village” received R rating upon its release in theaters in the United States, which prevented the entry of minors under 17 years of age without an adult.
So, considering that “Infinity Castle” adapts especially violent sections of the story, it is reasonable that its age restriction is similar to that of those projects.
