How many laps is the F1 2025 Abu Dhabi GP?
The last race of the season, the Abu Dhabi GP, will take place over a total of 58 laps around the Yas Marina circuit. Taking into account that this route has a length of 5,281 kilometers, all the drivers who cross the checkered flag will travel 306,298 kilometers, after which we will discover if Norris, Verstappen or Piastri have been crowned champions of 2025.
Since the hybrid era started in the 2022 season, the Abu Dhabi GP race has lasted a little less than an hour and a half, so if everything goes according to plan and there are no major surprises, everything should end around 3:30 p.m. in Spain.
The history of F1 in Abu Dhabi: who has won and been on the podium there
After the 16 grands prix that have been held in Abu Dhabi, up to seven drivers have managed to win at Yas Marina. Of course, only three have done it more than once: the most successful is Lewis Hamilton with five wins, followed by Max Verstappen’s four and Sebastian Vettel’s three.
With a victory, Lando Norris, Kimi Raikkonen, Valtteri Bottas and Nico Rosberg enter the list.
In terms of podiums, 15 drivers have achieved a top 3 in Abu Dhabi, although Hamilton clearly stands out with 10 podiums in 16 races. Behind, Vettel managed to add seven podiums, compared to Verstappen’s six or Leclerc’s four, who is the one who has achieved the most podiums without winning here.
Of the rest of the active drivers, Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz have achieved two podiums at Yas Marina, while Lando Norris and George Russell have one each.
How the Spanish drivers have fared in Abu Dhabi before F1 2025
The Spanish drivers do not have great numbers at Yas Marina, none has achieved victory on this track, none has taken a pole position and only Alonso and Sainz have achieved two podiums.
It is also not a circuit of good memories for the Asturian, since he dramatically lost the 2010 drivers’ title to Vettel despite arriving as the great favorite at the weekend.
